Agnes Johnson was my mother. I know that an obituary is supposed to be written in the third person, but I cannot do that. What I will do is tell you what I know about my mother. Agnes loved people, she loved to visit with people. She could strike up a conversation with anyone, anytime and anywhere. She didn't care if they were a doctor or a janitor, she just loved people. Agnes loved to play cards. It didn't matter if she won or lost, although she was a better winner than loser, she loved to play cards. Agnes loved flowers and working in her flower beds. She enjoyed a great deal of pride from the way she could get her flowers to bloom and she loved to see how other flower beds looked, she loved flowers. Agnes loved to visit the casino, not so much to gamble but to be in the bustling environment and to visit with people, it might be too much to say she loved the casino, but she sure enjoyed it. Agnes loved to go to auction sales. Not so much to buy things, although she did a lot of that, but because she loved the atmosphere and especially finding someone to bid against and win. She loved action sales. Agnes loved to take care of people. She worked as a nurse's aid for many years in hospitals and nursing homes. She loved to be a caregiver. But most of all, I know, as her son, that Agnes loved her family. From her husband Gary to every one of her brothers and sisters, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren she loved her family. As her son, I know that every one of these statements is true because I knew Agnes. Finally I know as Agnes' son that she has found rest, and I know she loves that. - Tony Scheerz
